The release date for "Rizzoli & Isles" season 6 episode 13 has yet to be revealed but fans of the series have started looking for clues and spoilers on what to expect in the coming episodes.
According to Carter Matt, shippers of Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) and Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander) have long waited for the two to finally get together. Although there has been no clear indication that their friendship could lead to something more, the outlet claimed that Rizzoli & Isles shippers are hoping that it would be possible.
The publication further pointed out that Jane and Maura will be great together, given that they have been through so much. Their friendship has been tested time and again.
It was said that they also have a very special connection. Jane may be a closed book to even her closest friends but makes the exemption for Maura. She also previously dropped everything to be with her.
On the other hand, Carter Matt speculated that the writers had no intention of turning Maura and Jane's relationship into a romantic on. The outlet pointed out that the two have always been presented as heterosexual characters. Given how close they were, it was said that they should have been comfortable enough to discuss their sexuality among each other.
Some fans, however, argued that the only reason why they have not admitted their true feelings was the fear of rejection.
"Even though Maura has never said anything, her actions have spoke volumes to viewers (she screams bisexual)... Maybe they both fear making their feelings known could jeopardize their friendship, especially if their feeling are unrequited," luckypenguinbuddy wrote.
Based on the poll on Carter Matt's website, 88.42% of "Rizzoli & Isles" wanted to see Jane and Maura end up together.
