The Samsung Gear VR was released to the market packed with games that are immersive and unique at the same time.
In partnership with Oculus, which has been acquired by Facebook, Samsung is set to lead the way toward a consumer market that accepts virtual reality as an affordable and acceptable form of entertainment.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said that the Oculus technology is meant to create new forms of experiences for everyone, whether they are playing games, watching movies or simply interacting with other people, according to TechCrunch.
Likewise, there are already a lot of games that are compatible with the VR headset. The "VR Karts" racing game, which requires a controller, puts the user right in the driver's seat and produces the fast, dizzying tension of car races.
For individuals who want shooting games, "Bandit Six: Salvo" would be their best bet as the game allows players to unleash mortars at tanks and ships simply by controlling the weapons through one's head movements.
Another stellar virtual reality game is "Land's End" that would be best played while on a swivel chair so that the player can move through and explore the game's mountains and an overall gorgeous environment.
Meanwhile, one catch in using the virtual reality headset is that the Gear VR is currently only compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and the Note 5, according to Engadget.
Allowing the VR headset to be connected immediately to well-known smartphones will help in engaging the general audience while possibly granting Samsung more profits through phone sales.
Aside from weighing only 0.62 pounds instead of the past two VR headset variants, the Samsung Gear VR also has a soft foam, so that even people who wear glasses can be comfortable with the device for at least 45 minutes at a time.
To enable the immersive experience, the headset employs both a gyrometer and an accelerometer to effectively turn the user's head into a controller. A quick tip in maintaining the incredible experience is for people to clean the Samsung Gear VR lenses and the phone's glass.
Samsung's Gear VR headset costs $99 and can already be purchased through e-commerce company Amazon and multinational consumer electronics corporation Best Buy.
