In his interview with Cinema BlendGosling responded to Stallone's comments. While promote Adam McKay's upcoming comedy film "The Big Short," Gosling seemed shocked by the news to a point of disbelief saying that was incredible and Stallone was one of his favorite actors.

Aside from McKay's "The Big Short," Gosling is also set to appear in Damien Chazelle's musical comedy "La La Land," Shane Black's crime thriller "The Nice Guys," Denis Villeneuve's untitled "Blade Runner" project, and an untitled Terrence Malick project.

Meanwhile, Stallone is set to be part of Brad Furman's crime drama "Scarpa," Jericca Cleland and Kevin Munroe's animated adventure film "Ratchet and Clank," Tony Bancroft and Scott Christian Sava's animated comedy film "Animal Crackers," and Dave Callaham's action thriller film "The Expendables 4." The nearest one is Coogler's "Creed."

According to Roger Friedman of Showbiz 411, "Creed" is so good and everyone in it was said to be so engaging, resulting to "Creed II" and "Creed III" on the production's timeline.

"Creed" follows former World Heavyweight Champion Balboa (Stallone) as a trainer and mentor to Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan), the son of his late friend and former rival Apollo Creed. The film also stars Tessa Thompson, Wood Harris and Maria Breyman, among others.

With Coogler set to helm the upcoming film "Creed," Aaron Covington and Stallone are on board to co-pen the film script. Robert Chartoff, William Chartoff, Nicolas Stern, Kevin King Templeton, David Winkler, and Irwin Winkler are set to co-produce the film.

With the "Creed" sequel still in its early phase of development, exact details on the plot, characters, cast, and release date are yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, Coogler's "Creed" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Nov. 25 while McKay's "The Big Short" hits theaters on Dec. 23.
