Nintendo has yet to reveal its plans and a concrete prototype for the Nintendo NX. However, it seems like more games are already being rumored to release for the gaming console.
The latest title speculated for the Nintendo NX is the cancelled "Metroid" for the Wii U. When "Metroid" confirmed to skip the Wii U console, the only game that fans received on the Nintendo 3DS was the "Metroid Prime: Federation Force."
Even so Retro Studios is known to still be in the drawing board with a title featuring 3D environments, iDigital Times reported. Couple this fact with Nintendo's goal of continuing the "Metroid" series on Nintendo platforms, and fans have themselves the possibility of a Nintendo NX debut for the latest "Metroid" title.
Note that developer Retro Studios has not made any official announcements about the matter, so it is best to take this with a grain of salt.
Nintendo is gearing up to deliver more games to its Nintendo NX platform. This is necessary if it wants to make the upcoming console even better than its Wii U predecessor. One of the publishers that already expressed their intentions to support the Nintendo NX is none other than Electronic Arts.
Even though EA is known to skip the Wii U platform for a couple of its AAA games in the past, it appears that the publisher will be more inclusive this time around, WCCF Tech reported. EA's Andrew Wilson confirmed in a recent earnings call that it has changed its viewpoint on the console cycle, and will consider opportunities to bring its titles to the Nintendo NX.
"What we're doing in terms of resource allocation is really investing at a core digital platform level, at an engine level and at a game architecture level to ensure that we are able to deliver amazing experience," said Wilson in a statement quoted by the publication.
Apart from EA, Capcom is also a company that was hinted to pledge support for the upcoming Nintendo NX. Nintendo will likely give more information as to the third-party support that the Nintendo NX console will get once the reveal date comes closer in 2016.
