"The Walking Dead" season 6 executive producer Scott M. Gimple recently dished on Steven Yeun's character Glenn Rhee's fate on the hit AMC series.
In an interview with E! News, Gimple said that he's pleased that a lot of the fans of the show kept wondering whether or not Glenn is still alive.
The executive producer said that that's exactly how he wanted fans to react to Glenn's disappearance.
"When people leave the walls, they don't have cell phones. They aren't rocking 80's bleepers. You don't know what happens. You have no idea. When they leave that could be the last time you ever seem them, and I think it was important to do a story this year about uncertainty and that the audience would share that uncertainty that the characters had in like episode five," he explained.
Gimple added that he wanted fans to be on the same page with Maggie who also didn't have any idea what happened to Glenn.
Meanwhile, Gimple was asked whether or not Glenn is still alive, but he obviously cannot give a concrete answer.
At present, there's a 50/50 chance that the character could be alive or dead.
"This is 'The Walking Dead,' and things happen," he said.
In other news, Yeun revealed that he currently spends most of his time in his apartment to avoid being asked by fans on whether or not his character is still alive on the show.
"The Walking Dead" season 6 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
