Michael Schumacher health condition seemed to be getting worse to the disappointment of fans. Former Ferrari president Luca Cordero di Montezemolo explained that the F1 racer was still in a terrible state following the accident.

In an interview with RTL, Montezemolo shared that he felt devastated after hearing what happened to Schumacher.

"Seeing him in this situation is terrible. You know not what you should do," he said.

Montezemolo shared that rather than focusing on his condition, he would often think about the good times he shared with him. He added that he considers the athlete one of his friends. He said that the racer made valuable contributions to Ferrari and has always been a team player.

The former president also shared that he admired Schumacher's family, who stood by him throughout the entire ordeal. He added that he would have never made it if it were not for their strength and courage. Montezemolo wished that the F1 world champion would recover as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Jean Todt, president of Federation Internationale de I'Automobile, also remained optimistic that Schumacher will get better soon. Although it has been nearly two years since his injury, Todt held that the racer is still fighting.

Todt added that he will always be proud of Schumacher's accomplishments no matter what happened.

He also shared that after the incident, he would always visit him in his home in Lausanne. Todt encouraged the F1 racer's fans to stay positive and pray for him.

"Michael is still fighting, and we must keep fighting with the family."
