Rumors are doing the rounds that the new 15-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air models will be released in spring or summer 2016. Also, according to several reports, the 11-inch MacBook Air will be discontinued.
The MacBook Air models will be lighter and thinner with internal specification enhancements. The device is expected to feature new batteries, chassis and cooling modules.
According to various reports, the 2016 MacBook Air will run on OS X El Capitan and will sport Force Touch technology and an Intel Skylake-U chipset.
Also, the device will have a USB Type-C support and will come with an improved battery. Earlier reports suggested that the MacBook Air (2016) will be released in December of this year.

According to a Macworld report, it is possible that the software company will launch a new MacBook with a solar powered display.
Back in Jan 2013, the tech giant was granted a patent that described a method for harnessing light from the sun to illuminate a display of MacBook. This patent is in fact the 7th solar-related patent the tech company has gained in the last 2 years.
Meanwhile, according to Australia Network News, the MacBook Pro 2016 will also be released next year. Rumors suggest that the new MacBook Pro 2016 will be powered with the Intel Skylake-U chipset and options for a 15-inch or 13-inch variant. Also, the device is expected to come with Force Touch technology.
