Nintendo recently surprised fans of the fighting video game "Super Smash Bros 4" on Wii U and 3DS gaming platforms when as opposed to characters initially speculated to feature in the game, somebody else showed up.
According to Master Herald, the next playable character to have come to "Super Smash Bros 4" is the cult-favorite Ultima Weapon-wielding Cloud Strife from "Final Fantasy VII."
Cloud Strife was never in the mind of gamers nor was he part of the many rumors about the next DLC character on "Super Smash Bros 4."
When "Super Smash Bros 4" Fighter Ballot ended on Oct. 3, seven likely playable characters hit the rumor mills including "Donkey Kong Country's" King R. Rool and Dixie Kong, "Golden Sun's" Isaac, "Splatoon's" Inkling, Shovel Knight, "Metroid's" Ridley, and Professor Layton.
Although Cloud Strife came as a surprise, avid fans welcomed the sweet surprise that they received from Nintendo. The same publication reported that Cloud Strife is more popular as compared to any of the seven characters aforementioned to be coming to the game.
The game developer company unveiled news about Cloud Strife through a trailer of "Super Smash Bros 4" released during the recent Nintendo Direct Event. The trailer showed the "Final Fantasy VII" lead character getting into action on the renowned fighting video game.
The promo titled "Cloud Storms into Battle" indicates how ready this character is in his battle with any other character at "Super Smash Bros 4." The footage revealed a spiky-haired hero displaying his power in a combat against every playable character in the "Super Smash Bros 4" roster.
In the video clip, Cloud Strife is shown giving all characters in the popular fighting video game a beat-down using his signature Odin Summon move along his impressive edge breaks on every opponent.
