The latest "Bates Motel" season 4 spoilers suggest that the premiere episode will focus on Norma (Vera Farmiga) and Romero's (Nestor Carbonell) relationship. Fans saw the couple's relationship got serious in season 3 but turns out the two will face several struggles along the way.
According to Design & Trend, Gregg Edwards (Damon Gupton) may end up being Norma's love interest in the third season. Gupton will play a 40-something "compassionate, grounded and empathetic" doctor at Pineview Mental Institution. It was said that Gregg may take a special interest in Norma, which could eventually lead to something more.
Fans of Norma and Romero, also known as "Nomero," were reportedly unhappy with the new cast member. In the season 3 finale, viewers saw Romero kill Bob Paris (Kevin Rahm) to protect Norma and her son.
Speaking to Yahoo! News, showrunner Carlton Cuse shared that they were all pleasantly surprised with how the story of Norma and Romero was received. He said that they have always wanted fans to root for the couple.
Cuse added that the anticipation of when the two will eventually get together helps build the hype.
"We feel like we have an epic couple with Norma and Romero. We plan to deliver on the promise of that at some point, in some form," he explained.
When asked when Normero is going to happen, Cuse said that it was only a matter of time. He, however, said that they wanted everything to happen organically. He added that they do not want to rush anything.
