The Microsoft Lumia 850 renders have surfaced indicating that it will be slimmest Lumia smartphone ever with attractive features like metallic frame, front-facing flash and enhanced CPU.
The Lumia 850 is one of the upcoming Microsoft smartphones that is expected to release by January or February 2016. The Lumia 850 was once rumored to have been cancelled but fresh information on it have emerged, GSM Arena reported. .
According to a tweet by popular leakster On Leaks, the thickness of the Lumia 850 will be 6.9 mm. It will be coming with a metallic frame. The Microsoft Lumia 850 will be released to succeed the Nokia Lumia 830 that was released in September 2014 but it was criticized for its 0.9 MP frontal camera.
On the other hand, a tweet from another well-known leakster EV Leaks has revealed that the successor model is expected to arrive with an improved selfie shooter that will be coupled with a front-facing flash.
As far as the rear camera is concerned, the Microsoft Lumia 850 is going to feature an enhanced camera sensor as the leaked renders shows a protruding camera module. The older Lumia 830 featured a 10 MP camera that came with support for optical image stabilization.
The Snapdragon 400 is present under the hood of Lumia 830. Rumors are rife that the Lumia 850 will be coming with an upgraded CPU. It will arrive with Windows 10 Mobile pre-installed.
An interesting thing to note is that the Lumia 850 with a measurement of 155.9 x 77.2 is larger than the Lumia 950 XL that measures 151.9 x 78.4 mm. The Lumia 830 that measures 139.4 x 70.7 mm is fitted with 5-inch display. Comparing the dimensions of all three handsets, it can be known that the Lumia 850 will be featuring a larger display that is likely to support full HD resolution, Phone Arena reported
