"Final Fantasy" fans rejoiced at the confirmation of not only the remake for "Final Fantasy VII,' but also the release of a new trailer sneak peek. Following this reveal, more information has been revealed about the title, one of the biggest of which is the inclusion of "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate NInja Storm 4" developer in the remake's development.
It appears that two major bodies will be involved in the creation of "Final Fantasy VII Remake," DualShockers reported. The first is Square Enix Visual Works, which will be included in the creation of certain models for elements in the game.
Developer for "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" CyberConnect 2 has also been cited as part of the development. Apart from experience in the "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm" game series, CyberConnect 2 has also reportedly worked on "Final Fantasy VII G-Bike."
Square Enix has also revealed that "Final Fantasy VII Remake" will be released episodically, due to the size of the game, Kotaku reported. This was confirmed by Game Producer Yoshinori Kitase, adding that the gameplay will not all be action-based as well.
Size-wise, it was a decision between cutting down on some elements to be able to fit it all in one release. The developer felt that this will be a shortened version, and one that defeats the purpose of bringing more content to fans.
"From the beginning, we thought a 'Final Fantasy VII' remake would be bigger than a single release," said Kitase in an interview as quoted by Kotaku.
More than new additions, the "Final Fantasy VII Remake" is aiming to bring old elements into better quality for the PS4. Putting all of these into a single release of the game adds to the impossibility of the task. One particular example is in the sectors 1 and 8 of the game. The areas pack a punch in terms of details, which ensures fans that the new title is not the same as the original title.
