Zack Snyder's DC Comics film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is coming to theaters soon and in line with this, Michael Wilkinson confirmed that The Flash is set to appear in the film.
Wilkinson is the costume designer for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." In his interview with Omelete, Wilkinson said that while he was not actually free to talk about The Flash at the moment, it was something that fans would be seeing in the future in DC's films. He added that fans would get a glimpse of the speedster in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
Aside from his confirmation on The Flash's appearance, Wilkinson also expressed his excitement on The Flash's suit, along with Ezra Miller's take on The Flash. The "Dawn of Justice" costume designer added that Miller was an extraordinary performer and he had a sort of interesting sense of humor and the youth that would be great for Barry Allen. For Wilkinson, Miller was going to make a great Flash.
According to Screen Rant, The Flash will only have a brief appearance in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," probably a portion of a "flash-forward sequence" or vision. This suggests that The Flash's inclusion in Snyder's film could be either a cloudy vision of the Justice League's future or a background featuring Allen's adventures in Central City.
Miller is set to debut The Flash in Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," prior to his appearance in Seth Grahame-Smith's solo "The Flash" film. The actor is reportedly set to sport a post-apocalyptic suit as the iconic speedster in DC's Cinematic Universe, which is reportedly similar to the realistic incarnations of Superman's and Batman's costumes.
Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated to premiere in theaters on March 25, 2016 while Grahame-Smith's "The Flash" solo film is set to hit the big screen on March 23, 2018.
