"Minecraft" for Nintendo Wii U will finally be available on Dec. 17. Nintendo revealed on Dec 7, Monday, that "Minecraft" will be coming for the Wii U via the Nintendo eShop for the price of $29.99.
"Minecraft" Wii U version will be coming with add-on bundles plus a new content, Polygon reported. In addition, it is going to be fully playable using the GamePad controller screen as well as the split-screen option on the HD TVs. With the split-screen option, the game can be played up to four gamers, while the online version can be played of up to eight gamers.
The "Minecraft" Wii U version add-on bundles include "Battle & Beasts Skin Pack 2," "Battle & Beasts Skin Pack," "City Texture Pack," "Natural Texture Pack," "Festive Mash-up Pack" and "Fantasy Texture Pack."
"With so many included add-on content packs, Minecraft: Wii U Edition brings an exciting collection of Minecraft content and experiences to Nintendo fans," Nintendo-America's president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime announced via Nintendo site.
Fils-Aime also mentioned, "Wii U players will have plenty of reasons to keep coming back to this iconic gaming experience."
The "Minecraft" Wii U version extra add-on bundles are available separately and intended to enhance the gameplay. These add-on bundles include the following:

"Minecraft" creator Mojang and Nintendo promised that there will be another set of add-on packs coming in the future for the "Minecraft: Wii U Edition."
