Billie Lourd, Carrie Fisher's real-life daughter, inherited her mother's Princess Leia hairstyle in an exclusive look.
In an interview with People for its special "Star Wars" collector's edition, Lourd said that she had made her mother watch the original"Star Wars" film at least once a week. She added that on special occasions, she would have made her mother get in a lightsaber fight her. Lourd added that the more trained Jedi had usually won.
Fisher's only child, Lourd will reportedly play an unnamed role in J.J. Abrams' upcoming space sci-fi film "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens," according to Daily Mail UK. While there are rumors saying that she would play Princess Leia's daughter in the film, Lourd insisted that she was not playing the said role.
Lourd studied religion and psychology at New York University when she was 19 years old. This made her path distinct from her mother, who is an actress, and his father, who is a CAA superagent. It is also noted that at that point, Fisher bagan production on the original "Star Wars" film as the infamous Princess Leia.
"Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" is set 30 years after the events in the "Return of Jedi." It showcases an ensemble of both old and new heroes and villains played by Fisher, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Christie, Ford, Simon Pegg, Max von Sydow, Domhnall Gleeson, Adam Driver, and Mark Hamill, among others.
Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Dec. 18.
