New details for the "Spider-Man 2017" film will feature the Iron Spider costume, Sony's impression of the web-slinger in "Captain America: Civil War" and the status of the reboot's script.
Writer MCUMSpiderman claimed that the "Spider-Man 2017" script is already finished based on the several updates and interviews involving the new Spider-Man actor Tom Holland, ComicBookMovie reported. Marvel has not yet gave out any specific details for the "Spider-Man 2017", aside from the fact that MCU version of the web-slinger will be a 15-year-old high school student and has to struggle between his school work and career as masked vigilante
Hollands recent interviews gave away clues on the script's status since he and director John Watts wanted Spidey to have one specific path and explore more of his backgrounds in the film. MCUMSpiderman hypothesized that Hollands statement could imply that the script is already done a long time ago, since the production team are going to shoot a scene in Atlanta and "Avengers" stars Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans teased that they might reprise their roles as Iron Man and Captain America in the film.
Aside from the rumored finished script, it seems that executives from Sony gave their impression on Spider-Man in "Captain America: Civil War".
According to Heroic Hollywood, Sony took several notes on Spider-Man's (Holland) appearance in "Captain America: Civil War" and then "sign off", giving their approval to Marvel in the use of the character. It may seem laughable at first, but Sony's reason for doing this is to protect their rights and investments since the "Spider-Man 2017" film is a joint collaboration between them and Marvel.
There are also new updates regarding Spider-Man's costume in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as "Civil War" director Anthony Russo stated in an interview that they wanted to experiment on costume since this Spidey is very young and teased that outfit is a "mix" of what other fans have been waiting for with a little twist.
With that being said it is hinted that the Iron Spider costume could make an appearance in "Captain America: Civil War" since the costume was given to him by Iron Man during the comic book version of "Civil War" as a sign of his allegiance to the Superhuman Registration Act.
The web-slinger's costume has been rumored to be based on his first issue in the Marvel Comics complete withe the fat spider logo and web underarms.
Spider-Man will appear first in "Captain America: Civil War" on May 6, 2016 and his new solo film on July 28, 2017.
