2NE1 had an unexpected appearance in Mnet Asian Music Award (MAMA), but most fans did not like the group. Fans believe the group does not deserve applause, particularly Park Bom.
Although it seems harsh, the 2NE1 recent appearance did not excite many fans since they were a backlash by many negative criticisms - from making a senseless reunion to Park Bom's new look.
In light of the group's unexpected move, Minzy, CL, and particularly Bom received negative comments from fans, according to All KPop.
The three girls were not well received because of their appearances: CL had heavy makeup, Minzy had her nose done, and Bom was allegedly a drug addict and got another plastic surgery. However, Dara received less criticism.
Mostly international KPop fans had positive reactions about the group's onstage reunion, as opposed to their fellow Koreans. While the whole band got a bad impression from Knetizens, Bom definitely received the most hate based on her drug scandal and "changed" look.
According to Koreaboo, the 30-year-old singer was highly criticized by Netizens for her drastic change - her face and particularly the appearance of her nose was not the same as before. Many fans pointed out that she went too far from having plastic surgery.
Comments from Newsen read, "She [Bom] said she would self-reflect, but she did plastic surgery... Besides Dara, they were all busy changing their appearance kekekeke. Park Bom and Minzy with plastic surgery and CL with her makeup."
Another Koreaboo Korean source commented, "Papa YG can' you tell her to stop? She looks like Michael Jackson."
Other fans even twitted calling her "plastic monster" and a "drug abuser." The comments were too harsh not considering how good the group performed.
