Aside from Starbucks' cup controversy, online users are wondering whether the latest teaser from South Korean YG Entertainment means CL's solo or 2NE1 comeback later this month.
2NE1 fans dubbed as Blackjacks were holding on the edge of their seats still unsure whether the mysterious teasers from the members and YG could mean the group's comeback after 17 months.
Recently, YG revealed a teaser that one of its artists will hold a comeback on Nov. 21. An alleged insider confirmed that it was indeed a comeback of the top Korean girl group.
Fans' hopes were up by a previous report from Movie News Guide saying that the group's main vocal Park Bom was spotted in YG building.
However, some fans are not convinced and said that it could be CL's awaited comeback. All Kpop cited an exclusive from dongA.com claiming that the date marks the solo comeback of the girl group's leader, CL.
The insider cited by the report said that CL has been working hard on her solo music early on. With her American debut delayed indefinitely, fans can suspect that YG is preparing for her comeback in the Kpop scene that could help her popularity in the US.
Moreover, the report also reminded readers of YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk's statement in October, "Firstly, we are focusing on CL, so you can expect good news shortly. We are going to think of 2NE1's return after the completion of CL's solo promotions."
YG Entertainment keeps everyone to hold their breath by remaining tight lipped on which group will showcase their talent on the 21st.
