"Star Wars" fans are still hyped up with the release of "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens" movie. However, fans will never get to experience episode seven in "Star Wars Battlefront" even in future DLC because the game will only cover the original trilogy.
"Star Wars Battlefront" will never have any glimpse of "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens." "The Battle of Jakku" is what a player can experience in relation to the movie. Even in future DLC, the game will never go beyond the third and the sixth episode of the movie. This also means that fans will never get to experience Rey, Finn and other new characters from the latest franchise of the movie, as Electronic Arts the game developer and publisher posted on a tweet.
The area where "The Battle of Jakku" took place was in the introduction of Episode VII, which is also an epilogue for "Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi." For the not so die hard fans of "Star Wars," Episode VII Stormtroopers have the same armor as the original trilogy, Polygon reported.
"Star Wars Battlefront" is scheduled to have four premium DLC for 2016 and will include four new maps, more available weapons, and new characters. The first will be available in January 2016. "The Battle of Jakku," released on Dec. 8, is a free DLC for game owners.
"Star Wars Battlefront" was released on Nov. 17 and is both a first and third person shooter video game. It is available for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platform.
