The Kardashians just found another topic to boost the ratings of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." It's Rob Kardashian's newly diagnosed ailment - diabetes.
The youngest child of Kris Jenner and ex-husband Robert Kardashian, Rob has struggled with weight issues in the past, causing him to be absent from important family gatherings, including the wedding of sister Kim to Kanye West. Over a 12-month period, Rob gained over 100 pounds which caused him to shy away from the cameras.
The last time he was seen publicly was in June at an In-N-Out Burger then in August he posted a selfie on Instagram with noticeable weight loss. The trimmer figure is likely because he has been working out with Kim, reports The New York Daily News.
The diagnoses of diabetes comes at a time that Rob has committed to a healthy 2016. The 28-year-old was rushed during the holiday weekend to an LA hospital because he was not feeling well. Lab tests confirmed that Rob has problems with his blood sugar level which were very high, reports E! News.
Doctors recommended that Rob lose more weight, exercise regularly and make dramatic changes in his diet. Besides the battle with weight problems, Rob also had to fight depression.
Latest report says that Rob has been discharged from the hospital. USA Today notes that during a March 2014 episode of their family's reality show, he was warned by a doctor that his liver was not functioning and he is in danger of acquiring diabetes and suffering from organ failure.
