New "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" details will likely feature Nightwing in the film and the possibility that Batman will lead the Justice League in DCEU.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding the identity of Bruce Wayne/Batman's (Ben Affleck) sidekick Robin in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" as this version of the Boy Wonder was killed at the hands of the Joker (Jared Leto) before the events of the film. Latino-Review writer Kelvin Chavez claimed that the deceased Robin in the film is Jason Todd, the second Robin. Jason Todd's death had a huge impact on Batman in the comics and when he was resurrected, Jason eventually took on the name Red Hood, which is ironically the same persona the Joker used before he got disfigured by the Ace chemicals in the comics.
Chavez added that Jason Todd is not the only Robin mentioned in the film as the first Boy Wonder Dick Grayson/Nightwing will likely have a "shout out" in "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" confirming his existence since he is also rumored to be part if the new Batman solo film, Screenrant reported.
"The Hunger Games" actress Jena Malone is also rumored to be playing the role of Carrie Kelley, a version of Robin from Frank Miller's "The Dark Knigh Returns"comic book, while other comic book fans believed that Malone could be playing Barbara Gordon, Commissioner Jim Gordon's and the superheroine Batgirl/Oracle.
In other news, "Gone Girl" star Ben Affleck teased that possibility that Bruce Wayne/Batman will lead Justice League in future projects. Affleck stated in during an interview that Batman represents "the human beings, mortal men" and in a world the is populated by super powered beings like Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa) etc. they need someone like Bruce Wayne to put them a morale high ground and hints that Bruce's humanity will be his greatest asset, International Business Times reported.
Despite the lack of super powers, Batman utilizes his strategic and tactical thinking making him an efficient leader during battles. His knowledge on his opponents and allies strengths and weaknesses makes him one the few dangerous individuals in the DC comics.
The film's version the Justice Leagues will consist of the New 52 incarnation such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and Aquaman.
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will be release in cinemas on March 25, 2016.
