Nintendo is preparing a lot of new things for its Pokemon franchise. During the holiday season, the Japanese company has announced the re-release of a classic Trading Card Game as well as a new controller for the "Pokken Tournament."
The re-release of the original Pokemon trading cards is coming in time for its 20th year celebration. Come Feb. 27, 2016, fans can now get the original set following the first-ever reprint of the series, Polygon reported.
Players can get 60 Pokemon trading cards, a coin and the manual for the entire pack. All of the designs on the cards are reprinted from the original version back in 1996. However, there is no confirmation yet if this reprint is coming to the U.S., as the re-release is only scheduled for Japan for now. This is just one of the announcements that celebrate Pokemon.
Alongside the confirmation for multiplayer support, the developer has also confirmed that the Pro Pad will come to the U.S. The game will also now come with a controller that is specific to the game, Geek reported.
What's great about the Pokken Tournament Pro Pad is that it has been designed to mimic the arcade machine. Previously, it was only set to debut in Japan, but a new listing has already been sighted to come to the U.S.
For now, it is a limited edition controller, meaning that players may need to hurry to get the console accessory before it runs out. The Pokken Tournament Pro Pad may only appeal to hardcore fans of the franchise however. Apart from the listed $24.99 price tag, it will only work on the "Pokken Tournament" title, so this is best for either hardcore fans or those who will be spending a lot of time playing "Pokken Tournament."
