The year 2016 is predicted to be the year of virtual reality as companies are about to begin developing VR outputs.
Top technology companies, according to Bloomberg report, will introduce VR sets and units this year. Oculus Rift of Facebook is one of those preparing for the VR headsets as announced last year. Moreover, ultra-high-end machines are predicted to be used this year.
VR headsets are also about to hit this year's technological sets. There will be 40 exhibitors participating in a trade show of consumer electronics early this month in Las Vegas, presenting VR outputs, the report said.
Companies are also preparing to develop VR products including Taiwan's HTC with its Vive headset and Facebook's CR set.
Palmer Luckey, the co-founder of Oculus, said last month that Facebook will start selling the first ever VR product of the company. Furthermore, Facebook founder and chief executive Mark Zuckerberg said before the end of 2015 that VR is to be developed and used by Facebook users.
The report also added that, as the year 2015 begins with companies' promise to produce VR products to the public, there will be about 7 million headsets of virtual reality in the year 2016.
The year 2016 is noted to be the year of virtual reality, the Telegraph said, as many top companies including Google and Microsoft are about to make the reality of VR technology.
Sony's PlayStation is also about to join the technological race as the gaming company said that they will develop VR gaming.
