Struggling teams US Sassuolo Calcio (7-3-6, 27 points) and Frosinone Calcio (4-11-2, 14 points) are set to face off for a 2015-2016 Serie A matchup on January 6th, Wednesday at the Mapei Stadium - Città del Tricolore in Reggio Emilia.
Sassuolo is coming off a disappointing 1-1 draw with cellar-dweller Hellas Verona at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi on December 20, as per SkySports.
Italian striker Sergio Floccari scored the first goal of the match at the 34th minute to give I Neroverdi a brief taste of the lead before Verona forward Luca Toni equalized it five minutes later.
Both teams went scoreless in the second half to settle for a point each in the overall standings.
It was the fourth winless try of Eusebio Di Francesco's men in their last six matches, which dropped them to seventh place in the current league table.
Meanwhile, Frosinone succumbed to their third consecutive defeat, this time in the hands of AC Milan, 2-4, matchup at the Stadio Matusa also on December 20, via Goal.
Canarini striker Daniel Ciofani opened the scoring at the 19th minute of the match to give Roberto Stellone's squad a 1-0 lead at halftime, but it was all Milan after that as the Red and Blacks netted four goals in the second half of the match.
It was Gialloazzurri's fifth winless effort in their last six outings, which relegated them to the bottom three of the overall standings.
The predicted result is a tough 1-0 victory for Sassuolo.
