Natalie Cole's untimely demise was recently mourned by several musicians all over the world.
According to the Manila Bulletin, the 65-year-old Grammy-winning singer passed away on New Year's Eve due to her longstanding health issues.
Cole also suffered from complications from her longstanding kidney transplant.
Meanwhile, Cole visited the Philippines in August 2015 when she joined David Foster's concert.
At that time, the "Starting Over Again" singer performed alongside Filipino singer Charice Pempengco, "American Idol" alum Ruben Studdard, 90s hit band Boyz II Men, and "X-Factor Philippines" alum Mark Mabasa.
Following her performance on "The Hitman: David Foster and Friends Asia Tour," Cole went on a long break from her singing career to focus more on her health.
In other news, upon learning of her passing, Pempengco paid tribute to the woman she calls her "friend."
On her official Instagram account, Pempengco shared a photo of herself hugging Cole.
"Breaks my heart, Natalie. I will always remember you. Always. I am glad to have known you. Thank you for your words. Thank you for everything. Thank you for your songs. Unforgettable, that's what you are... I love you, Natalie," she wrote.
Foster also paid tribute to Cole via his official Instagram account. He also shared a photo of himself with Cole during one of their duets.
According to the Associated Press, several other singers expressed their love for Cole after she passed away.
"American Idol" alum Fantasia Barrino said that she will forever love Cole's music.
The "Without Me" singer added that Cole's voice is like that of an Angel.
