Agnieszka Radwanska will face Alison Riske in the final round of the 2016 Shenzhen Open at the Longgang Tennis Center.
The top-seeded Radwanska advanced to the final stage of the tournament after defeating Germany's Anna-Lena Friedsam 6-2 6-4.
Radwanska, who has been remarkable since last year's US Open, will move to fourth in the WTA world rankings following her victory over Friedsam. This means the Pole moves ahead of Russian Maria Sharapova before the Australian Open starts later this month.
"Reaching the final here is great preparation for the Australian Open, and that's a good projection too," Radwanska said, reports IBN Live.
"First I'll focus on winning here in Shenzhen, and then I'll just try to play the same tennis in Sydney and in Melbourne."
Radwanska won 21 of 25 matches last season and grabbed titles Tokyo, Tianjin, and the WTA Finals in Singapore.
Meanwhile, Riske, the unseeded American, defeated Hungary's Timea Babos 6-2 6-4 to reach the final round of the 2016 Shenzhen Open.
Riske needed one hour and 18 minutes to dispatch Babos, giving her a chance to take home the prize money of $500,000.
The 25-year-old Rikse have only ever reached on WTA final when she won the 2014 Tianjin Open. She would be the huge underdog against Radwanska, but the American could use her momentum from defeating Babos for the first time in three matches.
Live scores of the 2016 Shenzhen Open final between Radwanska and Riske will be available at Pro Tennis Live, while the live streaming is available at WTA Tennis.
