Recent football transfer rumors have emerged that FC Barcelona defender Dani Alves is set to receive a "big-money" offer from a still anonymous Chinese Super League squad during this January transfer window.

Football Espana reported the speculation, citing Brazilian media outlet Globo Esporte, saying that "an unnamed Chinese Super League team will try to tempt the defender from Camp Nou with the promise of a €10m-a-year, three-year contract".

If the allegations are true then the 32-year-old Brazil international is ready to receive a significant pay increase from what he is currently earning with Barça.

The report also mentioned that Alves' place in Luis Enrique's rotation is at risk these days after the Barcelona head coach recently activated 26-year-old Spanish right back Aleix Vidal following FIFA's latest lifting of Barça's transfer ban.

Meanwhile, Sports Mole noted that the 5-foot-8 Juazeiro, Brazil native "was strongly linked with a move away from Barcelona last season, but ultimately signed a new short-term contract with his Spanish club".

Alves is a fan-favorite in the Nou Camp and multi-titled member of the Catalonia giants since joining the team in 2008 from Sevilla for a reported fee of £23 million and £7 million more in performance bonuses. He won five La Liga titles, three Club World Cups, and three Copa del Rey crowns in the process.

Alves is part of the team that won the treble of domestic league, domestic cup and European Cup two times, together with world-class talents five-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta, Xavi, Gerard Piqué, Pedro and Sergio Busquets.
