Season 2 of Shingeki no Kyojin, also known as Attack on Titan, is just around the corner. And there's no better indicator that the second offering of the AOT anime series is going to hit us sometime this year than seeing the actual preview for the upcoming season.

Yes, a sneak peak. Although Wit Studio hasn't confirmed anything about this video that has been spreading like wildfire in the internet for past few days, I personally say this one looks legit mainly because it picks up where Season 1 left off.

For those already following the manga, there no need for you guys to read my explanation. I believe you have better and more complicated interpretations for this intense scene involving squad leader Hange Zoe and Pastor Nick (You betcha, this season will delve deeper into cults and the mystery of the walls).

So here's the ever curious Hange responding to a report about a titan spotted inside the wall in the aftermath of the Female Titan's onslaught within Wall Sina. And boy it's not just any other human-eating giant, as it turned out to be a 60-meter class titan still in weak state.

Of course, everyone was shocked to see a huge titan living inside the wall, given the fact that these walls were supposed to prevent the titans from going in. Then suddenly, a man came out of nowhere and vehemently pleaded Hange to immediately cover something on it before it gets sunlight.

Sure nobody wants to start a cataclysmic kind of event by waking up a titan from its hundred years slumber, so Hange and his team followed what the pastor ordered to do. However, being a high-ranking official and the most curious of the survey corps, he believed the Pastor had some explaining to do.

As expected, Hange went beast mode on the Pastor, asking him to speak what he knows about the titan in the wall and the history of the world or else he would die. But to no avail, the Pastor remains silent, preferring his useless life be finished than giving the Survey corps any clue.

It is indeed an emotionally-charged opening scene that summarizes what will be in store for season 2. More titan shifters will be introduced, abilities discovered and secrets unveiled, including the monarchy of the walls. More characters will be killed off as well, but that won't stop Season 2 from equalizing or even surpassing the success its predecessor gained. It's going to be a roller-coaster, action-packed season from start to finish.
