According to TVLine, "We're going to meet a lot of old friends and foes, not just in the search for who turned Mike in, but a lot of it is in the defense that we're going to be constructing over these last six episodes," said executive producer Aaron Korsh.
Gibbs is hell bent on the idea of making Ross pay for his fraud, if not Ross, she wants someone to pay up for his sins. The new episode of "Suits" will showcase Gibbs dig deeper to find evidence that connects Specter, Pearson and others to Mike's fraud. In the previous episode, she told Specter that it is possible that Pearson knew all along that Mike is a fraud.
In an interview with TVLine, Korsh is asked about Gibbs' status on Mike and others.
"She, obviously, knows Mike was hired and works for Harvey, so once she goes digging, she's going to start having her suspicions. But she believes somebody knew, and she's trying to find out how far the conspiracy goes," Korsh said.
During the interview, he also mentioned that Gibbs ongoing investigation is set to affect the firm "massively."
In the promo for "Suits" Season 5, episode 12, Gibbs is seen telling Specter that whatever he is doing will come crashing down.
In the meantime, Ross tells Pearson that Gibbs has nothing on them, but Pearson is cautious. Meanwhile, since Donna is back in the picture, Korsh is asked about Gretchen's future.
"I think you can do the math that maybe there's going to be a little Do-si-do happening. We will answer that in the beginning of [the Feb. 3 episode], and then we have a little twist on it at the end, a little reveal that is pretty cool and juicy."
