Latest details on "The Flash" season 2 will feature a possibe return of Patty Spivot to the show, as well as a rumored musical themed episode for "The Flash" and "Supergirl" crossover.

CBS offifcially announced that Barry Allen/ The Flash (Grant Gustin) is headed to National City in an episode of "Supergirl" titled "Worlds Finest" on March 28. It was long rumored that CBS' hit superhero TV show is being pushed to crossover with other DC TV series such as "Arrow", "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow" since they are being all being handled by showrunners Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg.

Although there have been no official plot details yet for "Supergirl/The Flash" crossover, many comic book fans speculated that the episode will likely have Barry Allen/The Flash travel to another alternate earth since "The Flash" season 2 tackles this kind of problem, and probably end up with him landing in National City. Others think that both show's existed in the same universe, since John Constantine's (Matt Ryan) appeared in an episode of "Arrow" season 4, thus indicating that the continuity in the "Constantine" is canon.

The crossover episode could also indicate that it will be a "musical" themed episode. Both Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist starred in the hit musical TV series "Glee" before moving to their respective superhero roles in their shows. "Supergirl" cast member Jeremy Jordan, who also appeared in "Glee", stated in an interview that he wanted to have a role that did not depend on his singing ability, but he would not opposed to the request if they have asked him to do it. Jordan added that if the producers have their way they could make a "musical" themed episode for "Supergirl" as he still believe he and Benoist are still singers at heart, than actors.

As for a potential villain for the crossover, it is speculated that "Batman: The Brave and the Bold" original character Music Meister could be the main antagonist of the show. In animated series, Music Meister (voiced by Neil Patrick Harris) had the ability to control people through the use of lyrics and force to express their feelings through song and dance. If the showrunners ever decided to have a musical themed episode for crossover, then Music Meister could be the perfect villain that The Flash and Supergirl (Benoist) will face on March, Screenrant reported.

In other news, Kreisberg teased that possible return of Patty Spivot (Shantel VanSanten) in Central City soon. He told The Hollywood Reporter that they loved working with VanStanten on "The Flash" and they will always hope that they will get to see Patty back in Barry's life soon.

It was in episode 11, "The Return of The Reverse-Flash" that Patty left Central City in order to pursue her dream of being a CSI. Patty eventually knows that both Barry Allen and The Flash are the same person and promised that they will likely meet each other someday, possibly within this season or the next.

"The Flash" will return on Tuesday 8pm on the CW Network.
