"Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 is set to return on ABC on Feb. 11, Thursday, with an episode titled "The Sound of Silence." The episode is written by Stacy McKee and directed by Denzel Washington, who is set to star in "The Magnificent Seven" and "The Equalizer 2."

It is not likely for Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) to let Dr. Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) back into the house in "The Sound of Silence." On the other hand, Dr. Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) will try to avoid being stuck in the middle of an on-going sibling rivalry.

"Those two characters don't like each other right now, so they won't really be crossing paths for a while," Entertainment Weekly quoted McCreary as saying. She was referring to Meredith and Amelia.

"Maggie and Amelia have developed a real bond," McCreary added. "They care very much about each other."

According to McCreary, Maggie cares for them equally and this is one of the reasons why she always fell in middle. In addition, the actress said her character will try to "stay out of the fray" by keeping her loyalty to both sisters.

After directing "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 episode 9 titled "The Sound of Silence," Washington will reprise his role as Robert McCall in "The Equalizer 2." Currently, he is filming "The Magnificent Seven" with Chris Pratt and Matt Bomer.

On Feb. 4, Thursday, "The Sound of Silence" was screened at a panel during aTVfest 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia. The panel moderator Debra Birnbaum took to Twitter to describe the upcoming episode.
