It is official that "Jurassic World 2" will hit the theaters in two years time, and fans are already clamoring to know all about the plot, with the knowledge that the park visitors have already experienced the terror that is in Isla Nublar.

However, that is not what the second installment is about and director Colin Trevorrow has dished on what is to come. According to Trevorrow, "Jurassic World 2" may follow events that character Henry Wu (B.D. Wong) hinted at in the film when he said, "We're not always going to be the only ones who can make a dinosaur." The director believes this should be a likely point of interest.

In an interview with Wired, Trevorrow said, "What if this went open source? It's almost like InGen is Mac, but what if PC gets their hands on it? What if there are 15 different entities around the world who can make a dinosaur?"

The director as well clarified that the next film will not focus on a "bunch of dinosaurs chasing people on an island" since he knows that viewers will easily get bored with that kind of storyline. He also added that "Jurassic World" sequel will be more than just theme parks and dinosaurs used for entertainment.

Trevorrow said, "I feel like the idea that this isn't always going to be limited to theme parks, and there are applications for this science that reach far beyond entertainment."

Concerning the effects of "open sourcing" dinosaurs, friendly dinosaurs dominate the list of popularly bred dinosaurs, as they will gain fame as great pets and based on the director's hint, there are high chances that the upcoming installment will have more dinosaurs and dinosaur scenes, inspired by Owen's (Chris Pratt) team of velociraptors taking down the Indominus Rex, according to MTV

While all the speculations and ideas from the director are great, fans will have to wait and see how things turn out. "Jurassic World 2" will hit the big screens on June 22, 2018.
