For Chinese families, being together at the start of the Spring Festival, which fell on Feb. 8, is a must. That is likely the reason why a man named Lu insisted on bringing his newborn son home for the Chinese Lunar New Year a week ahead of schedule.
Since An An was premature, born on Jan. 8 after only seven months of pregnancy, he was placed in an incubator at the Pan’an People’s Hospital in Zhejiang. However, Lu nevertheless took him home. Two days after he brought the newborn home, An An’s face lost color, so Lu returned his son to Pan’an for emergency care.
On Thursday, his health deteriorated, which made Dr. Chen Shuanghua, the pediatrician, to declare An An no longer breathing and lacking heartbeat. She called a second doctor who made the baby’s death certificate, reports Epoch Times.
At 6 p.m. that day, Lu brought An An to the Pan’an Funeral Home’s morgue. The infant wrapped in two layers of clothing. He was frozen for about 15 hours when An An’s body was taken from the morgue for cremation. But An An suddenly wailed, saving him from being cremated. An An was sent back to the emergency room and placed in an incubator on Monday, reported The Telegraph.
The hospital’s director admitted that it was a mistake of the hospital employees because they failed to confirm the infant’s death a second time before they issued the death certificate.
Chen, a pediatrician for two decades, says she does not really understand how the “miracle” happened. But she pointed out that An An’s has low chances of survival. If the child survives, An An would likely be called three-miracle boy of Zhejiang
