The Android Wear update can make mobile devices at par with Android Marshmallow update for smartphones. As per TechnoBuffalo, it states that the arrival of the Android Wear update has unsurprisingly the same features. Like the Doze feature, it aids the smartwatch into a dormant state when left idle or not in use. This definitely extends battery life. This means that battery life, which is oftentimes a difficulty in many smartwatches, can importantly improve on devices such as the Moto 360 2, and can result in having users go a mileage out of the battery and even lasts for the entire day.

Along with the feature that importantly puts the smartwatch to sleep mode, came another that is utilized when the screen is often on. With this specific feature, when the user drops his hand and is no longer looking at the time, the screen will turn into ambient mode. However, if the feature is switched off, the screen can go black.

With the updates accessible for the Moto 360 2, users will have to utilize more wrist movements, which will significantly set many actions into effect without a touch of the screen. It will include opening of the apps, checking settings relevant to the apps, and viewing cards.

Other notable enhancements that users will experience are the new app permission system, Bluetooth headset optimizations, bug fixes and performance improvements. The said update will also give the capability to the second generation Moto 360 to send messages via user's voice.

Lastly, the update for this Motorola smartwatch comes with the Moto Body Running for tracking runs. It should monitor and measure time, pace and distance and can be utilized with a number of apps like the Under Armour Record, Strava and MayMyRun.
