Rumors continue to swirl that release date of both the MacBook Pro and Air 2016 versions will happen as early as March, likely following Apple's scheduled press event on the 15th. As Apple is reported to start selling both the iPhone 5SE and iPad Air 3 within March, hopes remain high that the unpacking will also include the new builds of OS X notebooks.

Apple has yet to indicate that its March plans will include revealing the new MacBooks, which are speculated to run on Intel Skylake chip, but 9to5Mac seems certain on its report that the tech giant will indeed introduce the new 4-inch iPhone and third installment of the iPad Air.

The two devices are like to rock iOS 9.3 that Apple is believed to also reveal using the March 15 occasion.

The 9to5Mac report claims that following the Tuesday press briefing, the iPhone 5SE and iPad Air 3 will hit Apple Store shelves with the tech giant's retail partners to follow shortly. It is understood that the actual selling date will not be preceded by pre-orders.

The same report did not provide pricing details but the 5SE is expected to start selling with the same price tag as that of the iPhone 5S (as the former will bump off the latter), which was listed at $450 by Apple's Online Store.

On the other hand, the iPad Air 3, rumored to unbox with 4K screen resolution and support for the Apple Pencil stylus, is likely to sell starting at $499 or the same introductory price of the iPad Air 2. The Air, in turn, is expected to shave off $100 from the basic 16GB model.

And as for the 2016 refresh of the MacBook Pro and Air, the chance remains that Apple will provide a sneak peek of the things to come for the lineup. Fans are getting excited by the prospect of Intel Skylake as the new MacBook platform that would give 20 percent more computing power to the machines while improving energy efficiency by up to 30 percent.

Reports are also widespread that a 15-inch MacBook Air will join the 13-inch and 12-inch variants but in the process, Apple will retire the 11-inch build.

While the Apple fans expect at least one of the MacBooks to appear at the same time with the iPhone 5SE and iPad Air 3, analysts are saying that if an Air or Pro release date will not happen March 2016 it surely will before June this year.
