It is nearly 7 days and we are all finally seeing the Samsung Galaxy S7. The South Korean mobile device maker has already declared its UNPACKED event for Feb. 21, which is the eve of MWC 2016. The company is anticipated to release its latest smartphone flagship, along with another VR product. Both devices will be bundled for pre-orders, which should start on that day when these are launched.
Samsung is seemingly moving fast these past days to minify the gap between proclamation and actual launch. If it can, it will actually release on that very same day as well, but certainly it can't, so Samsung will start kicking off a pre-order period starting from Feb. 21 up until March 10.
The pre-orders during this period will oblige one with a free Gear VR headset. Awaiting recipients will need to subscribe to a special page before automatically accepting the Samsung Gear VR. Samsung has patterned this promotion in previous offerings for a wireless charger for the Galaxy S6 and succeeding devices.
The pre-order period is a strong proof that the new flagship will ship on March 11. Once again, this is quite early for the company's usual April event, as rumored earlier. Perhaps Samsung is avoiding heavy traffic with Apple's March event that why they opted to launch the device this month and plans to ship it on March.
Availability details will certainly differ from each market. In the Netherlands, the Samsung Galaxy S7 will come in three color variants, with a price of $790 or 699 EUR for Galaxy S7 and $900 or 799 EUR for the Galaxy S7 Edge. These two variants will have 32GB storage and will definitely support a microSD card slot. Lots of users should be delighted with such promotion.
Other specs for the Galaxy S7 will include 5.1-inches QHD display, with a design fused from the Galaxy S6's front and the curved back of Galaxy Note 5. There will also be two processor variants such as a Snapdragon and Exynos chipsets. The Galaxy S7 Edge, on the other hand, is bigger than its predecessor with 5.5-inches display. This gives way to speculations that there won't actually be a Galaxy S7 Edge+.
