After Tom Hardy quit "Suicide Squad," Jake Gyllenhaal was rumored to be play Rick Flagg in David Ayer's comic book adaptation. However, it was said that either Joel Edgerton or Jon Bernthal will play the role instead of Jessica Biel's "Accidental Love" co-actor, Comic Book has learned.

Also cast in "Suicide Squad" are Sofia Vergara's boyfriend Joe Manganiello and Gary Sinise. While Manganiello is said to play Deathstroke, there are conflicting reports about Sinise's role.

Meanwhile, Bernthal is set to appear on Alfonso Gomez-Rejon's drama film "Me And Earl And The Dying Girl" with "Ouija" and "Bates Motel" actress Olivia Cooke.

In "Bates Motel," Cooke plays a teen cystic fibrosis sufferer named Emma. In 2014, she told Reuters that in one scene she did on "Bates Motel" where she just cried, the director was able to tap into something where her emotions just came flooding out.

"My emotions are very readily available, which is weird," Cooke said. "I've never had that, but that means I can cry at anything now. I'll cry at toilet paper."

For Cooke, "Bates Motel" is "quite psychological" and she just get to challenge herself and stretch her emotions. She said her character Emma is "very light" and not necessarily "a psychotic or evil character."

"Ouija" also starred Ana Coto, Daren Kagasoff, Bianca Santos, Douglas Smith, Shelley Hennig, Sierra Heuermann, Sunny May Allison, Lin Shaye, Claudia Katz, Vivis Colombetti, Robyn Lively, Matthew Settle, Afra Sophia Tully and Claire Beale among others.

Before "Ouija," Cooke played a demon-possessed, disturbed young woman in "The Quiet Ones" and an abductee in the sci-fi horror "The Signal."
