As noted by TV Fanatic, in the previous episode of "The Blacklist," Red was accepting the documents towards the end, which seemed to have a connection with his real relationship with Liz.

Reviewers perceive that "The Blacklist" has held this secret for quite some time and will provide viewers a complete satisfaction when the storyline will be unveiled on the Season 3 finale. They even hinted that it would be disgraceful if the mystery is brought over by the producers and showrunners of Season 4.

In the drama, Red is featured to provide more details about Liz's mother. The story connotes that Liz's mother walked towards the ocean and drowned herself. It would really be sorrowful for Liz if she feels guilty to be responsible for the death of both her parents, especially that she was struggling on giving up her baby, which she carried for nine months, and is for adoption.

Red disagreed to give up the baby for adoption, but this can show a connection with the documents he was holding, which he needed to find more information.

Case of the missing children preview:

Liz evidently had to consider her choice since she took on a case during the drama where it involved missing kids.

The episode titled "Lady Ambrosia," starts with Red offering Liz a trust fund for her child, which she declined. As per International Business Times, Red tried to inform her about a case that was similar to a fairy tale, where kids were taken to a house in the woods, and promised eternal youth by a woman named Lady Ambrosia.

Evidently, Lady Ambrosia murdered all kids and Red got secluded to the case when a boy named Ethan, portrayed by Hays Welford, suddenly turned up, when previous reports proved him to be dead.

Liz then reports to her team about similar cases of the kids, who were perceived to have died and later reappeared. She did a psych evaluation on Ethan, who was autistic and didn't speak. Later, Ethan's parents show up in the hospital, surprised to see their son still alive. Aram, played by Amir Arison, also learned that his parents were putting Ethan for adoption before his disappearance.

Meanwhile, "The Blacklist" Season 3 episode 15, titled "Drexel," teases that Tom is in a life and death situation; however, Red put Liz and the team to a different case, and now the team has to hunt down a very dangerous killer. The next episode will likely focus on Tom's situation, as the promo begins with Tom being wheeled into the hospital where the doctor is even saying "his pulse is dropping." Then Liz was shown asking Red if he hurt Tom. The clip ended with Liz asking if Tom is okay.

The next episode of "The Blacklist" season 3 will be aired on Feb. 18.
