The biggest question left hanging at the close of the Game of Thrones Season 5 was: Is Jon Snow really dead? In the new Season 6 teaser that HBO just released, it appears that the case is closed - that the demise of Jon Snow and more deaths will break the hearts of GoT fans.

Prior to the new video teaser, HBO allowed the release of a generous collection of screenshots that offers of glimpses of things to come. Familiar faces were seen with the gallery but not the one man that everyone is looking for. No Jon Snow, which again leads to the question: Is Jon Snow's death for real?

And that likely is the idea that HBO is peddling and the new Season 6 trailer only seems to dash the hopes of GoT followers that somebody came to the rescue of the lone remaining Stark warrior. Jon Snow is among the Hall of Faces that the video showed, strongly hinting that the hero was no more.

As pointed out by Business Insider, there was Ned Stark, Snow's father, who the boy King Joffrey had executed way back in Season 1. Joffrey's head was there too, which reminds viewers of the sadistic king's poisoning. Robb Stark and Lady Catelyn were also part of the grim collection of disembodied heads.

The evidences seem to dwindle by the day that Jon Snow has survived the attack by his Night Watch brothers, which obviously is the central theme of the teaser. It should be noted that Davos too was there hanging on the wall, likely indicating that the one man likely to save Jon Snow next season will end his story soon.

The same goes for Arya Stark, who was last seen training to be part of the Faceless Men assassins and other key characters such as the surviving characters - Tyrion, Jaime and Cersei.

Thankfully though, the Red Woman Melisandre is not listed as among the dead or nominated by the teaser as soon to die. The priestess remains the flickering hope of GoT fans that Snow was picked up from where he fell and nursed into recovery by Melisandre. As viewers would recall, the Red Woman showed an interest to the Ned Stark seed.

And Melisandre back on The Wall a few hours before Know was stabbed has to mean something very significant, according to Game of Thrones fan site WinterIsComing.net.

"Melisandre heading back to The Wall, of all places ... doesn't really make a whole lot of sense unless she needs to be there for a specific plot purpose," the report said. In an earlier story, the blog site claimed that Melisandre will bring Jon Snow from the dead, allowing the latter to avenge the tragic deaths met by members of the House Stark.
