Recent football transfer rumors have emerged that French forward Jeremy Menez will remain playing for Italian Serie A club AC Milan in spite of the recent big-money offer from Chinese Super League squad Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC.

"There's no question about it, Jeremy will 100 percent stay at Milan," Kevin Menez, the player's brother and agent, said via Football Italia. "There's nothing, he'll definitely remain at Milan, there's no doubt about that. The most important thing for him is to recovery from his back injury and do his best for the Milan shirt."

The 28-year-old winger has been out since October of last year following a surgery to repair his injured back and is still in the process of full recovery. He made his long-awaited comeback during last Sunday's 2-1 win by I Rossoneri over Genoa at their home field of Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in San Siro, substituting for countryman striker M'Baye Niang in the 77th minute of the said match.

Even with his injury, Menez remained a target for CSL squads such as Shanghai Shenhua, but he and his representatives had been firm in staying in Italy as of the moment.

"I want to take this opportunity to thank the club for supporting Jeremy throughout his injury period. Now he's just thinking about doing well here," his agent said.

Caught Offside noted that the Blue Devils offered Il Diavolo a transfer fee of €10 million for the services of its injured goal scorer, "although there is still a dispute over personal terms" from the side of Menez.

The Essonne, France native and his camp are said to be asking €10 million in annual wages as well, but the CSL giants are allegedly willing to pay him €7 million per year only.

With the Chinese winter transfer window about to close next week and Shanghai Shenhua recently releasing Australian star Tim Cahill from their roster, Menez is reportedly the primary target of the Chinese squad to replace him as one of their five foreign players.

It would be difficult for the Shanghai residents to convince Milan right now, though, as head coach Siniša Mihajlović is reportedly keen on keeping Menez at least up until the end of the season where they can find a suitable replacement if ever a deal is pushed through.
