Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini is reportedly being targeted by unnamed Chinese Super League clubs as "agents in China" have recently approached the footballers' representatives in England.

The Daily Star reported that the 28-year-old Belgian midfielder "has been sounded out by Chinese agents" who recently visited the Old Trafford to persuade him to move to the Far East nation.

Fellaini is said to be expecting to sign a contract extension with the Red Devils "before going to the finals of Euro 2016 this summer with Belgium", but there had been no signs that United will grant his request.

With that, rumors have emerged that the 6-foot-5 Brussels, Belgium native could entertain the possibility of playing in Asia sooner.

The Chinese agents, who were reportedly "acting on behalf" of the whole CSL itself and not with any specific club, is said to be also talking with United team captain Wayne Rooney and Manchester City's Wilfried Bony about a potential transfer to China.

The Daily Express indicated that Fellaini "has given up hope of landing a new deal before the start of Euro 2016" and has been closely considering the offers from the Chinese delegation. If ever a deal pushes through, it will be done at season's end this summer when the English transfer window opens again.

There are no speculations yet which clubs in the CSL are actually eyeing the towering Fellaini as well as City's Bony.

Meanwhile, there were also reports that Fellaini is being targeted by AC Milan in the summer for £12 million.

Milan reportedly submitted a bid for the former Everton standout during the January transfer window, but the Red Devils rejected it.

I Rossoneri was trying to work out a loan deal at first before making it permanent this summer. Now it looks like the Italian giants will have to agree in signing him directly without a loan spell and they are said to be prepared to offer their new and improved proposal.

Fellaini was signed to a five-year contract by United in September 2013 after paying Everton a transfer fee of £27.5 million during that summer window's deadline day.

He had appeared in 77 games for the Red Devils in three seasons so far, scoring nine goals mainly as a defensive midfielder. He played 177 games in six seasons for the Toffees from 2008 to 2013 and have scored 33 times during that time.
