Taiwanese multinational tech firm HTC is heavily banking on its upcoming flagship smartphone One M10 following the dismal performance of the current flagship device, the HTC One M9.

Despite the endeavors of the company to keep the details of the HTC One M10 a closely guarded secret, reliable tipster @evleaks has recently revealed the purported pictures of the device online. While he leaked the black variant of the handset a few weeks back, not the leakster has posted a picture of the white variant of the HTC One M10 on Twitter.

From the photograph leaked on Twitter, it appears that the design of HTC One M10 is very similar to that of the company's preceding smartphone, the HTC One A9. In fact, many tech experts and enthusiasts had accused that the HTC One M9 itself bore a close resemblance with the iPhone's design, IB Times reported.

In case the image of the HTC One M10 turns out to be true, it would confirm earlier reports that the device will come without the Taiwanese tech manufacturer's typical features, which include the front-facing BoomSound speaker that are present in One M7, One M8 and One M9. It is likely that the absence of this feature may make it difficult for the company to entice its customers who are connoisseurs of music and video to purchase the upcoming device.

In addition, the image posted on Twitter also gives the impression that the HTC One M10 will also lack the physical home button. In addition, the large, black banner bearing the company's logo, which was a dominant feature at the bottom of the screens of all smartphones since 2013, when HTC launched the One M7, will be missing.

Evan Blass or @evleaks posted two images of the One M10 within a gap of a few weeks, a black and a white variant of the device. Although the overall design of the two devices is more or less the same, it is difficult to undertake a comparison of the two models, because the images were taken from different angles. However, the shape of the devices' fingerprint scanner on the Home button seems to be the only notable difference between the two variants, GSM Arena reported.

In terms of specs, it is rumored that the HTC One M10 will be powered by Snapdragon 820 chipset and come with a 5.1-inch QHD AMOLED screen. In addition, the device will have 4GB of RAM and native storage of 32GB. The smartphone will come with a modest 12-megapixel UltraPixel camera and run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow along with HTC's own Sense 8.

Latest reports suggest that the HTC One M10 will be launched in April, and be available to customers in the United States after a month.
