New details about "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" have been revealed, regarding the release date of its expansion pack, plus the inclusion of "Black Ops" game on Xbox One Backward Compatibility list for February.

"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's" first game expansion, labeled as "Awakening," will be released on March 3, 2016 for Xbox One owners and PC platform. The "CoD: Black Ops 3" expansion pack "Awakening," which is already available for PS4 users as part of Activision and Sony's time exclusivity agreement, includes Zombies DLC Der Eisendrache and four multiplayer maps - Gauntlet, Rise, Skyjacked and Splash.

Here is the description of each multiplayer maps:

Gauntlet is set in a military training facility that has three different locations or environments that is filled with action, danger and excitement. Each of the three essential paths has an interesting domain as players fight through a sprawling wilderness, below zero artic zone and stormy urban cityscape.

Skyjacked, which is a new conception of "Black Ops II's" Hijacked map, is set on a security VTOL in the mists overlooking Zurich. Skyjacked, which offers wild or frantic yet fast gameplay, gives "Black Ops 3" players' different ways to explore the reimagined map with its Core Movement System.

Splash, which is set in an abandoned water amusement park, is intended to drive an open stream of battle that includes an opportunity for a number of underwater gameplay. Splash map offers a dynamic and playful map that conveys a creative environment in a forgotten yet fantastical city.

Rise, dubbed to be the largest "Call of Duty: Black Ops III" Awakening map, is set on Zurich's snowy outskirts. Rise is a gigantic underground research facility for Coalescence Corporation construction project. This large map offers each section unmistakably diverse styles of gameplay.

Gamers can purchase these DLC map packs individually for $15; however, gamers can also get "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" Awakening DLC map pack at a discounted price via its season pass, priced at $49.99.

On other "Black Ops" news, "Call of Duty: Black Ops" will be made available in Xbox One by end of February thru its Backward Compatibility program, which lets gamers to play Xbox 360 games to Xbox One consoles. It can be noted that shortly after the revelation of Xbox One BC program, the official Xbox One feedback site gathered votes on what games enthusiasts wants to be playable on their next-gen consoles, Express reported.

Fans may have voted the games they would like to play on their Xbox One, unfortunately, only one game was granted - "Call of Duty: Black Ops." Other games included to the Xbox One BC program are "BioShock Infinite," "BioShock," "BioShock 2," "Halo Wars" and "Skate 3," International Business Times reported.
