Southampton pulled off its second consecutive victory during their previous match against Swansea City, 1-0, at the Liberty Stadium on Feb. 13th before the England top flight's one week break, as per SkySports.

Irish striker Shane Long netted the winner for Ronald Koeman's side at the 69th minute of the match to help the Saints settle at the no. 6 spot of the Premier League table, one point behind fifth-running Manchester United and 13 points clear off surprise league leaders Leicester City.

The Saints were drifting in the middle of the standings since the beginning of this season and have now climbed up drastically after a seven-game undefeated streak.

They now face another streaking squad in Chelsea at home this weekend and could be in danger of losing for the first time since Jan. 2nd versus Norwich City.

Meanwhile, the defending champions routed Newcastle United, 5-1, at the Stamford Bridge also on Feb. 13th to complete their own 10-game unbeaten run, as reported by BBC Sport.

Former Barcelona forward Pedro scored a double while striker Diego Costa, winger Willian, and midfielder Bertrand Traore each had one en route to the lopsided victory.

Costa opened the scoring right at the fifth minute of the match, followed by Pedro and Willian at the ninth and 17th to give the hosts a 3-0 lead at halftime.

It became 5-0 after Pedro's second goal at the 59th and Traore's own at the 83rd, but the Magpies avoided a shutout when midfielder Andros Townsend scored a consolation right at the stroke of full time.

The Blues have not yet lost this year and they look to continue their undefeated streak against The Saints on Saturday.

The predicted result is a close 2-1 victory for Chelsea. Southampton snaps their seven-game run with an inspired road effort from the Stamford Bridge residents.
