According to new reports, the tech company Apple will unveil a 9.7-inch iPad Pro instead of the iPad Air 3 on March 15, 2016. Also, the launch date of the Apple Watch 2 may be pushed back to September.
The new iPad Pro will have almost identical specifications and features as the larger model. It is expected to feature four speakers, the same amount of RAM and the same processor as the bigger iPad Pro. In addition, the new device will work with the Apple Pencil.
Earlier reports suggested that the 9.7-inch iPad model will include a Smart Connector. Now, recent reports suggest that the tech giant is preparing a smaller version of its Smart Keyboard cover attachment for the new device, and it will be ready for March.
It is expected that the new iPad Pro will come in the same storage capacities and colors as the bigger iPad Pro. The new iPad Pro will start shipping as soon as March 18th.
Meanwhile, according to recent reports, iPhone 5se will look very much similar to iPhone 5s. The new device is scheduled to be unveiled at a special March event. Also, the company may not offer pre-orders for the new devices.
According to The Telegraph, the new iPhone 5se is essentially the iPhone 5s with notable software and hardware upgrades.
The dimensions of the forthcoming device are indistinguishable from the 2013 iPhone 5s. It means that the new phone will fit inside of iPhone 5s cases. Reports also suggest that the power/wake/sleep button has been relocated to the side.
The edges of the iPhone 5se and the front glass panel are curved around the edges. The handset is expected to have Touch ID support.
Several reports also suggest that the upcoming iPhone 5se will include an NFC chip for Apple Pay, an upgraded camera hardware system, the ability to take Live Photos and the M9 and A9 processors from the iPhone 6s. The new phone will come in 64GB and 16GB storage options.
Meanwhile, according to a report from Macworld UK, the launch date of Apple Watch 2 may be pushed back to September 2016. It is said that the upcoming watch will be released together with iPhone 7.
The company wants to give more focus to its other new products. Rumors are doing the rounds that the production for the Apple Watch 2 has already begun; however, it may not be released till September.
