The Multiplayer Starter Pack is absolutely for free this weekend that starts today until Feb. 28, Sunday at 9PM (UK time). It is said that even gamers get hold of it for free, it does not give any access to gamers in getting the full version at a discounted price; however, gamers can still take advantage of the $39.59 price tag of "Black Ops 3" this weekend. For Digital Deluxe edition, gamers can take advantage of a $79.99 price tag with the inclusion of the game plus its season pass.

The starter pack, which is the standalone version of "Black Ops 3's" multiplayer mode, is only being offered for limited of time and will no longer available after Feb. 29. The Black Ops 3 Starter pack gives gamers access to weapon paint shop, multiplayer level cap of 55, freerun modes, emblem editor, gunsmith, arena plus the black market, PC Gamer reported.

Meanwhile, to give gamers a boost, Treyarch announced via twitter that the last February "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" Double XP weekend is going to happen today until Monday (10am Pacific/ 1pm Eastern), wherein discounts for the full PC game version will be available, GameSpot reported.

This move by Treyarch and Activision is well-timed with the upcoming release of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" Awakening DLC for PC and Xbox One users on March 3. The said DLC was first introduced and delivered to PlayStation 4 early this month.

This is the third Double XP weekend for Black Ops 3 this month, wherein the last was somewhat extra special as Double XP and Double Weapon XP delivered double up experience to "Call of Duty" fanatics. It is said the current Double XP weekend event is just Activision and Treyarch's way to hint that this is a good time in upgrading to the full version of the game.
