Contending squad Villarreal CF (14-4-7, 49 points) is scheduled to host bottom-three club Levante UD (5-15-5, 20 points) at their home field of Estadio El Madrigal on Sunday, Feb. 28th as the 2015-2016 La Liga season continues.

Villarreal, who is undefeated in their last 12 matches, is currently at the fourth spot of the league table, five points behind third-running Real Madrid and 14 points adrift of league leaders FC Barcelona. The team last experienced a loss in November of last year during a 0-2 defeat in the hands of Getafe.

Their most recent match is a goalless draw with fellow contenders Atletico Madrid at the Vicente Calderón Stadium last Sunday, as reported by Goal.

El Submarino Amarillo took advantage of Los Colchoneros "lack of precision in front of goal" during the entire match to settle for the tie on the road.

Atleti's Antoine Griezmann wasted the game's "clearest opening" while Villarreal striker Cedric Bakambu also had a great opportunity right after the hour mark but both teams could not find the winning goal.

The draw was the fourth in the last six games of head coach Marcelino's squad.

Meanwhile, Levante snapped a three-game losing skid as they finally pulled off a win against reeling squad Getafe, 3-0, at the Estadi Ciutat de València on Feb. 19th, as per SkySports.

Les Granotes blanked their visitors and netted a three-goal haul courtesy of strikes from midfielder Jose Luis Morales, forward Giuseppe Rossi, and winger Joan Verdu at the 10th, 43rd, and 81st minutes respectively.

The win was only the second for head coach Rubi's side in their last six outings and was unable to take them away from the bottom three relegation spots.

The team is now tied at 20 points with cellar dweller Granada but had a better goal differential with -21 than the latter's -25. They are both four points away from escaping the bottom three.

The predicted result is a 3-1 win for Villarreal.
