Corey Simms' father, Jeff Simms, a regular on "Teen Mom 2," is loving life as a grandfather to his three grandchildren. Along with his newest granddaughter, three-month-old Remington Monroe Simms, Jeff is also grandfather to 6-year-old twins, Ali and Aleeah, and on Twitter, he is often praised for playing a large role in all three of their lives.

On Feb. 22, Jeff posted a generations photo of himself, his father and Remi on Instagram, and said he wished his son, Corey, was included. The previous week, Jeff shared a number of photos from Aleeah’s cheerleading competition, which included himself, Ali and Aleeah, and his son, Corey. And because Leah Messer was also in attendance, the photo was quite significant.
In October 2015, according to Us Weekly, Corey went to court with Messer, and during their hearing, the earlier was named as the twins’ primary custodian due to her alleged inability to get her children to school on time. However, at the time, Messer claimed she had not been late to school at all, and could prove it with time-stamped records, which she eventually did.
According to the same publication, Corey and Leah returned to court days prior, and as a judge threw out allegations of her tardy behavior, the former couple agreed to split joint custody of Ali and Aleeah. While Corey was previously taking care of the girls from Monday until Friday, he now has them from Sunday night until Thursday, as well as one weekend per month.
Since his split from Messer in 2011, Corey has remarried, and currently has just one child with wife Miranda. Leah has moved on also, and was married to second husband Jeremy Calvert from April 2012 until June 2015.
