Recent reports stated that the Indian government in leadership of prime minister Narendra Modi has given a green signal to the producers of the Indo-Chinese project to shoot in the country.

The move comes under Modi's new policy under which a single-window clearance is being granted to shoot foreign films on priority basis, Deccan Chronicle reported. It is being done possibly to boost international ties as well as tourism.

Although the exact filming location is yet to be known, it is highly possible that the movie will be shot in the hills of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, owing to its plot. The multi-lingual project has already been shot in several countries, including China, Dubai and Iceland.

"Kung Fu Yoga" also stars Indian beauties Amyra Dastur and Disha Patani along with "Dabangg" actor Sonu Sood. Earlier, Dastur was spotted at Mumbai Airport leaving for Iceland,  where the shooting of the movie was going on full swing, CanIndia reported.

The hotly-anticipated movie is directed by Stanley Tong of "Rumble in the Bronx" fame.  The movie is about a Chinese professor of archaeology, played by Chan, who travels to Tibet to find the famous lost treasure of Magadha empire. In his endeavour, he collaborates with two Indian experts, played by Dastur and Patani, the latter of whom is also likely to play Chan's love interest.

The movie also stars Chinese stars Lay Zhang and Miya Muqi, who are playing Chan's character's assistants in his quest. The antagonist in the movie will be played by Sood, who will be playing the character of Randall, a descendant of the rebel army leader from centuries ago that had first acquired the Magadha treasure.

"Kug Fu Yoga" spoiler indicates that the mysterious treasure that is being sought after by Chan and his group is actually a huge diamond which in turn is stolen by Randall who auctioned it off in some Middle East country. What follows is a mad chase wherein the Indian actresses too will be putting their newly-acquired martial art skills to full use.

The trailer of the movie is yet to be released. Meanwhile, check out the behind-the-scene glimpse below:
