In February, video game publisher Ubisoft gave fans of "Tom Clancy's The Division" another chance to test the game in its open beta, but recent claims from fans suggest that the beta may have only been a small percentage of the full game's map.

One player of "Tom Clancy's The Division" who has allegedly gotten their hands on a copy of the game ahead of its official March 8 release date has measured the game's final map and compared it to that of the beta, GearNuke reported. This player confirms that the map is a massive six times bigger than the slice of New York City Ubisoft offered to players during the open beta testing.

Take "Tom Clancy's The Division's" PvP (player versus player) Dark Zone areas out of the equation, however, and the final game map then becomes over seven times the size of the open beta map, which will certainly be good news for those not looking to take on the game's best players and biggest AI-controlled enemies. Meanwhile, those interested in testing their mettle will be glad to know that the Dark Zone in the final game is three times the size of the Dark Zone in the open beta.

Fans can also least compare the information revealed via the leaked copy to previously revealed data. One player used Ubisoft's interactive "Tom Clancy's The Division" map to compare the full game's map to the beta, estimating that the beta was about 22 percent (or one fifth) of the final map, Gameranx reported. That just about lines up with the estimation from the leaked copy, again suggesting legitimacy.

It has also been noted that though both estimations may be roughly correct, they cannot represent the true, full scale of "Tom Clancy's The Division". Neither of these estimations take into account the buildings that players can go into, even those such as the hospital which is the setting of an early main mission.

Ubisoft has also said that the servers for "Tom Clancy The Division" will not be switched on until the game's March 8 release date on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and so full details of the game's explorable areas will be kept under wraps until then.
