After speculating endlessly for months, the fans of hit fantasy series "Game Of Thrones" can now breath a sigh of relief since it has finally been confirmed that Jon Snow will return to the show's upcoming season.

Kit Harrington, the actor who plays the role of the beloved warrior, teased during an interview with Time Out that he is definitely not in the show anymore. However, on further questioning, the actor finally admitted that he did do some filming for the upcoming season.

"I filmed some scenes of me being dead - [jokily] it's some of my best work," the 29-year-old revealed before further adding that he does not have any further knowledge of the show beyond that. "I don't have a clue. I know how long I'm a corpse for, but I can't tell you that!"

Although Harington continued to claim that he has only filmed the scenes for Season 6 wherein Snow will be shown very much dead, the fans of the show reportedly refuse to believe him, given the fact that his face is the prime focus of the season 6 poster as well as the trailer.

Snow was shown lying in the pool of blood after being stabbed by his fellow Watchmen in the finale episode of "Game Of Thrones" season 5. However, he was spotted in Ireland back in November 2015 filming what was reported to be The Battle of the Bastards between him and Ramsay Bolton.

A major "Game Of Thrones" season 6 spoiler indicates that the ninth episode of the upcoming season will allegedly feature the battle, wherein Snow will lead the Wildlings, while Bolton will lead the Karstarks and Umbers. Sansa Stark is also expected to be involved in the epic battle.

Meanwhile, after the last season's content leaked onto BitTorrent before the show's premiere, HBO is not taking any chances this year and has decided not to give the media any advance episodes of the Emmy-winning series.

"We're not sending out press copies this year, anywhere in the world," HBO programming president Michael Lombardo told EW.

"Game Of Thrones" season 6 will premiere on April 24. Check out the trailer below:
